76ers/Bulls Best-Worst: Butler, Poythress and horrid shooting
Chicago's Jimmy Butler had 19 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds. He was also perfect from the foul line (9-for-9).
Here is my look at some of the best and worst performances from the Chicago Bulls' 102-90 victory over the 76ers on Thursday at Wells Fargo Center:
Best performance: This was an easy one. Jimmy Butler did what he always does to the Sixers: dominate them. This time, the Chicago guard posted a triple-double with 19 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds. He also was perfect from the foul line (9-for-9).
Worst performance: This was a tough one, but I had to give this to Alex Poythress. He finally looked like a guy that's been with team for less than a week. He finished with four points after missing five of six shots.
Best defensive performance: This award goes to Robin Lopez. The Chicago center brought a physical presence that the Sixers had a tough time dealing with. He blocked a game-high three shots and had one steal in addition to finishing with nine points and seven rebounds.
Best performance by a Sixer: Justin Anderson wins this award. The Sixers small forward finished with 17 points on 6-for-11 shooting. He made 2 of 5 three-pointers.
Worst statistic: You have to give this to the Sixers for their three-point shooting in the first quarter. They made just 1 of 12 in the quarter for 8.3 percent.
Best statistic: This goes to the Bulls' foul shooting. Chicago's made 16 of 17 (94.1 percent) foul shots
Worst of the Worst: The Sixers' shooting was terrible. They routinely missed wide-open shots. Justin Anderson (6-11 for 54 percent), Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot (6-15, 40 percent) and Nik Stauskas (4-10, 40 percent) were the only players to shoot at least 40 percent on this night.
