Noel stresses love for Sixers fans

The one thing Nerlens Noel kept stressing overall Sunday night was his love for 76ers fans.

Sure, he thinks it's silly that Sixers have three centers capable of starting.  While the center didn't ask for a trade or demand that someone else get traded, he said he just wants the organization to hurry up and do the inevitable. The team has been in trade talks all summer and was expected to trade one of the centers before the start of the season.

However, Noel wants Sixers fans to realize this isn't a knock at them or the city.

"I've always loved the fans from the jump," he said. "It's probably one of the realest cities in the country with just genuine passion and love for the sport. If they are with you, they are with you.

"They hold it down for those that go out there and play hard.  Go balls to the wall for them. So the fans, I love them to death.

"This city will always be a place where I was first introduced to pro basketball. So just with the fan base, I was definitely blessed when I came here to Philadelphia."
