McRae garners second-team all-NBA Summer League honors

The 76ers may have acquired a second-round steal in Jordan McRae.

The 6-foot-6, 185-pound swingman garnered second-team all-NBA Summer League honors on Sunday.

The rookie out of Tennessee averaged a team-leading 21 points.

His best performance came in Thursday's 79-68 second-round setback to the Bulls at Thomas & Mack Center.  McRae finished with a game-high 25 points. He made his first seven shots attempts and finished 7-for-8 from the field. The former two-time all-Southeastern Conference selection made all seven of his foul shots.

McRae was also a shutdown defender during the summer league, finishing with a total of seven steals and three blocks.

Not bad for someone drafted by the San Antonio Spurs with the 58th overall pick and traded to the Sixers on draft night.

Wizards swingman Glen Rice Jr. was the league's MVP. Rice was joined on the first team by Otto Porter (Wizards), Doug McDermott (Bulls), TonySnell (Bulls) and Donatas Motiejunas (Rockets).

Rudy Gobert (Jazz), Tim Hardaway Jr. (Knicks), Russ Smith (Pelicans) and T.J. Warren (Suns) accompanied McRae on the second team.
