Joel Embiid not happy with Sixers' lack of transparency

Joel Embiid said he wasn't happy with how the 76ers handled his being sidelined with a bone bruise in his left knee.

The center pointed out that the Sixers informed the media he was a day-to-day injury, but ...

"I was told that I was going to kind of miss two or three weeks," Embiid said. "So I wasn't happy with the way it was handled. I thought keeping my name out there was going to literally have people think about me all the time instead of saying when I was going to come back."

That's why the sidelined center was elated Thursday that the team announced that he would actually be sidelined for the next four games. Embiid has already missed 11 consecutive games and 14 of the last 15 with the injury. An MRI also discovered that he has a slightly torn meniscus.
