Jaylen Brown to highlight Sixers workouts

It's Jaylen Brown's time to impress the 76ers.

The franchise will work out the former California swingman in one of Tuesday's two scheduled pre-draft workout sessions at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

In the morning, the Sixers will work out Georges Niang (Iowa State),  Michael Bryson (UC Santa Barbara), A.J. English (Iona), Tomasz Gielo (Mississippi), Dyshawn Pierre (Dayton) and Jarrod Uthoff (Iowa).

Then in the afternoon, they will put Brown through a one-person workout.  The 6-foot-6, 225-pounder is projected to go in the Top  10 during the June 23 NBA draft.  The Sixers have the first, 24th and 26th picks.

They are expected to take Ben Simmons (Louisiana State) over Brandon Ingram (Duke) with the first pick. However, Brown could be an option if the Sixers trade  their late first-round picks or player to get a second Top 10 selection.  He averaged 15.6 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists in his lone season at Cal.  The Georgia native applied for the draft following his freshman campaign.
