Could Ilyasova have a career season with Sixers?

It's still early, but Ersan Ilyasova could have a career season with the 76ers.

The team acquired the reserve power forward in a trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday.  He has averaged 17.5 points in his first two games as a Sixer heading into Monday's matchup with the Utah Jazz.

As a result, he is averaging 10 points through five combined games with the Thunder and Sixers. That average will go up for the 6-foot-10, 235-pounder if he continues to produce at a high level in Philadelphia. And considering he's a key member of the team, he'll definitely get plenty of opportunities to do so - unlike in Oklahoma City.

Ilyasova averaged a career-best 13.2 points during the 2012-13 season with the Milwaukee Bucks.

"The way we play and the way the team is structured, it's not complicated," the ninth-year veteran said of his early success with the Sixers. "I had to kind of learn a couple of plays, but it is basketball.

"It's all about effort, obviously. Me being in the league in this my ninth year, it helps to kind of adjust quicker."
