Brand to start vs. Pelicans

It's turn-back-the-clock night for the 76ers.

Elton Brand will make his first start since April 12, 2015 when the Sixers host the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday night at the Wells Fargo Center.  His last start came as a member of the Atlanta Hawks.

Brand is averaging 5.6 points, 2.6 rebounds and 13.8 minutes in 14 game appearances for the Sixers (9-68).

The 37-year-old came out of retirement in January to serve as a mentor to the younger Sixers. At the time, there was a thought that he wouldn't play in any games. However, the team was forced to play the 17th-year veteran because of injuries to other players.
