"Best" and "Worst" award: Sixers vs. Pelicans

Here's a look at some of the best and worst performances from the 76ers' 107-93 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans at the Wells Fargo Center on Tuesday night:

Best performance:  Carl Landry gets this on a night when Sixers fans started chanting "MVP" while he attempted foul shots with 1 minute, 11 seconds remaining.  That had to do with the 6-foot-9  post player's stellar game in a reserve role. Landry finished with a game-high 22 points on 9-for-10 shooting. He made his first nine shots. The Milwaukee native also finished with nine rebounds, two steals and one assist.

Worst performance:  This goes to Toney Douglas. The Pelicans guard missed nine of his 12 shots en route to finishing with seven points. He did have seven rebounds. But his shooting was hard to overlook.

Best performance in a losing effort:  You have to give this to Dante Cunningham. The Pelicans power forward made 7 of 9 shots en route to scoring 19 points.  The former Villanova standout only had two rebounds. But he lit up the Sixers shooting the ball.

Best defensive performance:  With four steals and one block, Robert Covington is the logical person to win this award.  His defense more than made up for an off-shooting night.  The small forward made just 3 of 16 shots – 1-for-10 on three-pointers – to finish with 12 points to go with nine rebounds.

Worst statistic: How can you not give this to the Pelicans' fast-break points?  They only scored two points in transition on 1-for-4 shooting.

Best statistic: This award goes to the Sixers' bench points.  With Landry leading the way, they outscored the Pelicans, 59-27, in that category.
