'Best' & 'Worst' awards: Sixers vs. Clippers

LOS ANGELES – My look at some of the best and worst performances from the Los Angeles Clippers' 123-78 victory over the 76ers on Sunday night at Staples Center:

Best performance: This is a tough one. Make that an extremely tough one, because a number of Clippers dominated the Sixers. But I have to give this to Blake Griffin. The all-star power forward put on a show against his overmatched opponents. Griffin made 11 of 14 shots attempts en route to finishing with 26 points. He also had 11 rebounds, six assists, and a steal even though he briefly left the game in the first quarter with a left shin bruise. At one point, Griffin led a fastbreak on the wing. He threw a no-look pass back to point guard Chris Paul. The Wake Forest product lobbed the ball back to Griffin. The 6-foot-10, 250-pounder delivered his second consecutive tomahawk alley-oop dunk.

Worst performance: This has to go Spencer Hawes. The Sixers center missed all eight of his field-goal attempts en route to being held scoreless. Hawes was nonfactor despite being the tallest player on the court at 7-1.

Best defensive performance: Even though Paul had four steals, this award goes to his Clippers' teammate  DeAndre Jordan. The center had a game-high four blocked shots to go with a steal. Jordan also finished with 10 points and 20 rebounds – 14 on the defensive end – in 29 minutes.

Best performance in a losing effort: Tony Wroten wins this award after producing 21 points on 7 of 11 shooting. The backup point guard was one of the few bright spots for the Sixers.

Worst statistic: You have to give this to the Sixers' second-quarter field goals. They made just 3 of 25 shots in the quarter. They made just eight combined for the half.

Best statistic: This award goes to the Sixers' foul shooting. They made 21 of 25 free throws.

Worst of the Worst:  This award goes to the Sixers' performance from start to finish. Unable to stop anything the Clippers were doing, they trailed 46-15 after one quarter. Los Angeles extended its lead to 56 points midway through the third quarter.
