Simmons, coach have some fun after 'practice'

LAS VEGAS – After Tuesday morning's shootaround, 76ers assistant coach Lloyd Pierce posed as a reporter and asked Ben Simmons a question.

"How have the practices been?" asked Pierce, the team's NBA Summer League coach. "How do you feel about practicing?"

A smiling Simmons responded, "I love practice. Practice is the best. I've never stop practicing so. So, yeah, practice is great."

Then a reporter asked the Sixers first overall pick his thoughts about being interviewed by a coach.

"I love practice," Simmons responded before breaking into laughter. "I love practice."

The exchange was reminiscent of, and came 14 years after, Allen Iverson's infamous "We are talkin' about practice" rant.
