76ers/Thunder best-worst: Westbrook, Saric, interior beatdown

OKLAHOMA CITY– Here is my look at some of the best and worst performances from the Oklahoma City Thunder's 122-97 victory over the 76ers on Wednesday night at Chesapeake Energy Arena:

Best performance:  Russell Westbrook gets this on a night when Thunder fans chanted "MVP" whenever he stepped to the foul line or made a big play. And Westbrook made plenty of them. The Thunder point guard finished with 18 points, a game-high 14 assists and a game-high-tying 11 rebounds for his 35th triple-double of the season.  He could have done more damage if he didn't sit out the fourth quarter.  Westbrook went 6 for 6 from the field and 6 for 6 from the foul line. He is the first player to shoot perfectly from the field and foul line while recording a triple-double.

Worst performance:  This goes to Dario Saric on a night he managed to score 12 points. He made just 4 of 14 shots and finished with just two rebounds. Saric also had a team-high three turnovers and was minus-23.

Best performance by a Sixer:  You have to give this to Nik Stauskas. The reserve shooting guard made 5 of 8 three-pointers en route to finishing with a team-high 20 points.

Best defensive performance:  With two blocked shots and one steal, Andre Roberson wins this award. The Thunder small forward also had nine points and four rebounds.

Worst statistic: How can you not give this to the Sixers backcourt mates T.J. McConnell and Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot, who combined to score five points on 2-for-9 shooting?  McConnell scored two points on 1-for-3 shooting. Luwawu-Cabarrot shot 1 for 6 and scored three.

Best statistic: This has to go to Westbrook for becoming the first player to shoot perfectly from the field and foul line while recording a triple-double.

Worst of the worst: I'm giving this to the Sixers for being pushed around in the paint. The Thunder flat-out beat the Sixers down. Yeah, this was a call-the-police-because-I'm-witnessing-a-crime night. The Thunder had a 54-25 rebounding advantage. They also outscored the Sixers, 76-50, in the paint.

Best quote: "I can say it was like a bar fight. But they were like the only, only guys in the bar who really destroyed us," Saric said.
