76ers/Bulls Best-Worst: Saric, Lopez and Chicago's dismal effort
CHICAGO – Here is my look at some of the best and worst performances and happenings from the 76ers' 117-107 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Friday night at the United Center:
Best performance: Only a fool wouldn't give this award to Dario Saric based on his taking over the fourth quarter. The Sixers power forward had a career high of 32 points to go with a team high of 10 rebounds. Thirteen of his points came in the fourth, where he hit two clutch three-pointers to lead his squad to the road win.
Worst performance: There's no way that Robin Lopez could have avoided receiving this award. The Bulls center missed all six of his shots en route to finishing with just one point. He also finished with just one rebound in 18 minutes, 4 seconds.
Best defensive performance: Rajon Rondo gets this on a night when he only played 6:02 in the third quarter and held out of the fourth. The Bulls point guard still managed to finish with a game-high four steals.
Best performance by a Bull: Jimmy Butler easily gets this one. The Bulls All-Star guard had game highs of 36 points and 11 assists to go with seven rebounds. He made 16 of 21 foul shots.
Worst statistic: This goes to Chicago's second-quarter shooting. The Bulls made 5 of 19 shots for 26.3 percent in the quarter.
Best statistic: You have to give this to the Sixers' points in the paint advantage. They had a 70-30 advantage in that category.
Worst of the worst: This goes to the Bulls' effort in the second and third quarters. They were disinterested and played like a team trying to get their coach fired.
