UPDATE: According to a source from Bob Cooney of the Daily News, the Sixers are in fact involved in the trade, and will be sending Thaddeus Young to Minnesota in exchange for a package including Anthony Bennett.

FROM EARLIER: A report from Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports says the 76ers are not a part of the proposed trade that will send Timberwolves All-Star Kevin Love to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Initial reports said that the 76ers were involved in a potential three-team deal, and would send Thaddeus Young to Minnesota and receive 2013 No. 1 draft pick Anthony Bennett from the Cavaliers.

According to Wojnarowski, the 76ers are not involved at all. Sources told Yahoo Sports that the Timberwolves and Cavaliers have agreed in principle to a deal involving Love. The Cavs will reportedly send Bennett, 2014 No. 1 draft pick Andrew Wiggins, and a protected 2015 first-round pick to Minnesota in exchange for Love.

Love will reportedly opt out of his contract in 2015 and re-sign with the Cavaliers on a five-year, $120 million-plus contract extension.

The deal will not be finalized until Aug. 23 because Wiggins cannot be dealt until one month after signing his rookie contract.

A separate deal with the 76ers and Timberwolves could follow the Cleveland-Minnesota trade, but we'll have to wait a few weeks.
