Five things you need to know about the 76ers today

Five things you need to know about the 76ers today:

1.  T.J. McConnell remains undefeated as the Sixers starting point guard. Tuesday's 93-91 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves at Wells Fargo Center made the team 3-0 with him in the starting lineup.

2.  Joel Embiid is racking up Eastern Conference rookie-of-the-month honors. The center won the November award on Tuesday after previously winning the October honor.

3. Embiid now has something in common in Allen Iverson. He is the first Sixers rookie to score 23 or more points in four consecutive games since Iverson closed out his rookie campaign (1996-97) with nine consecutive 23-point performances.

4.  Robert Covington tied his season high with four steals  on Tuesday. His other four-steal performance came on Nov. 12 in Atlanta.

5.  Ersan Ilyasova is a double-figure scoring machine.  The power forward has scored 10 or more points in 27 of his 30 games with the Sixers.
