Watch: Phillies' Andres Blanco steals home vs. Tigers

While you were stuck at your desk on Wednesday afternoon, Peter Bourjos and Andres Blanco combined to give the Phillies another improbable moment to cherish.

Odubel Herrera was at the plate in the top of the second inning in Detroit. Bourjos broke to steal second, and Tigers catcher James McCann fired a throw from behind the plate. McCann presumably figured Blanco wouldn't try to steal home.

Wrong.

Blanco made it easily, and probably would have even if McCann's throw hadn't pulled Tigers second baseman Mike Aviles off the bag.
