Herrera batting leadoff for Phillies in Sunday's exhibition

CLEARWATER, Fla. - Odubel Herrera, who has impressed early in camp, will bat leadoff and play center field on Sunday when the Phillies host the University of Tampa in an exhibition at Brighthouse Field.

The 23-year-old Herrera was selected by the Phillies from Texas in December's Rule 5 draft. He was the MVP and the Rookie of the Year of the Venezula Winter League, hitting a league-leading .372. He played mostly infield in Texas' system but played mostly centerfield this winter. He has practiced during camp at all three outfield positions.
