Although not in the Phillies' lineup for the first game of Saturday's single-admission doubleheader against the Miami Marlins, Maikel Franco will start the second game.

Although not in the Phillies' lineup for the first game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Miami Marlins, Maikel Franco will start the second game, manager Pete Mackanin said.

It will be Franco's first game since Aug. 11, when he fractured his left wrist when hit by a Jeremy Hellickson fastball in Arizona. The 23-year-old third baseman was activated from the disabled list Thursday after facing live pitching in several instructional league game at the Phillies' facility in Clearwater, Fla.

"He said he's ready to play so we're going to get a look at him," Mackanin said.
