Both Jamie Moyer and Matt Stairs joining Phillies broadcast booth?

According to MLB.com's Todd Zolecki, Comcast SportsNet could be adding Jamie Moyer and Matt Stairs to the Phillies broadcast booth.

Sources told Zolecki that both gave strong auditions, which made the network rethink its original plan of hiring one color commentator to replace Chris Wheeler and Gary Matthews.

Moyer recently worked with ESPN, and Stairs has done TV work with NESN and radio work on SiriusXM. Both were part of the Phillies' 2008 World Series championship team.

More from Zolecki:

It is unclear how a Moyer-Stairs combination would work, if they reach agreements with both. They could share time in the booth like Wheeler and Matthews (Wheeler broadcast six innings while Matthews broadcast three), they could split games or they could be in the booth at the same time with McCarthy.

The network decided to let go Wheeler, 37 years in the booth, and Matthews, seven years of service, in early January.

The Phillies' first Grapefruit League game from Clearwater, Fla., will air on February 26th.
