Game 111: Looking for three in a row

WASHINGTON -- The Phillies haven't played like cellar dwellers in the first two games of this four-game set at Nationals Park and the Washington Nationals haven't performed like the National League East leaders that they are.

After winning 10-4 on Thursday and then 2-1 that was marked by a sharp pitching performance by Roberto Hernandez, the Phillies look to continue their momentum in tonight's game. A.J. Burnett (6-10 4.15 ERA) is opposed by RHP Jordan Zimmermann (6-5, 3.17).

Domonic Brown, who was ill on Friday, is not in the starting lineup for the fourth consecutive game. Manager Ryne Sandberg said before the game that Brown has strep throat. Grady Sizemore, who has hit safely in 13 of his 15 starts for the Phillies, will play left field. Ben Revere, who is 46 for 120 in his last 31 games (.383) is in center.

Here is the Phillies lineup

1. Ben Revere, CF

2. Jimmy Rollins, SS

3. Chase Utley, 2B

4. Ryan Howard, 1B

5. Marlon Byrd, RF

6. Grady Sizemore, LF

7. Carlos Ruiz, C
