Curt Schilling finishes radiation treatment

Former Phillies pitcher, ace of the 1993 NL champion staff, and World Series champion with the 2001 Diamondbacks and 2004 and 2007 Red Sox, Curt Schilling completed his first round of chemotherapy, according to his wife, Shonda (Schilling's wife also was diagnosed with stage 2 malignant melanoma in 2001).

Schilling was diagnosed with cancer this past February, after signing a contract extension with ESPN as an analyst for Baseball Tonight. He had a heart attack in 2011 while watching his wife run in the New York Marathon. The six-time All-Star is currently 15th all time in strikeouts with 3,116.
