Chase Utley makes spring debut vs. Rays

Chase Utley will make his spring debut on Friday, batting third as the designated hitter against the Tampa Bay Rays at Bright House Field.

Utley has been limited this spring by a sore right ankle, which he hurt in January taking fielding practice in San Francisco. Ryan Howard is batting fourth and lefthander Joely Rodriguez is starting. First pitch is at 1:05 and the game will be televised on the Comcast Network.
