Game 74: Looking to end the road trip on an upswing

ST. LOUIS -- The Phillies are 5-1 on their current road trip that ends this afternoon in St. Louis against the Cardinals.

Saturday's 4-1 loss to Adam Wainwright snapped the Phillies five-game win streak.

The Phillies are now 34-39 and stand four games back of Washington in the National League East.

By comparison, they were 35-38 last season after their first 73 games, but stood 7.5 games out of first.

Ben Revere, who hasn't started since Monday due to a bruised left knee, is in the Phillies lineup and batting leadoff.

Cameron Rupp gets his first start at catcher while Marlon Byrd, who has appeared in 72 of the first 73 games, is not in the starting lineup. John Mayberry Jr. gets the start in right field.

The Cardinals, who snapped a three-game losing streak with Saturday's win, are 40-35 and 5.5 games behind Milwaukee in the N.L. Central.
