Game 46: Buchanan makes MLB debut

Domonic Brown, who sat last night against Kershaw but had that key pinch-hit lineout to left with no outs and the bases loaded in the seventh inning, is back in the starting lineup for the Phillies.

After a strong spring training and nine starts for Lehigh Valley, RHP David Buchanan makes his major league debut for the Phillies in today's 3:05 p.m. game at Citizens Bank Park against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Buchanan was 5-1 with a 3.98 ERA for the IronPigs.

He will be opposed by Dan Haren (5-2, 3.18) Haren is 1-4 with a 4.67 ERA in nine career starts against the Phillies. He is 0-2 with a 6.75 ERA in three starts at Citizens Bank Park.

The Phillies welcome any other starter after being limited to two hits and by Clayton Kershaw in last night's 2-0 loss. Kershaw struck out nine in six innings and pitched out of a few major jams.
