Rosenberg says he's fine after being hit by liner

ALLENTOWN -- Lehigh Valley righthander B.J. Rosenberg says things are well after being hit in the side of the head by a line drive during the IronPigs 4-2 loss on Monday in 11 innings to Pawtucket at Coca-Cola Park.

Rosenberg, who was optioned by Phillies last week when Cole Hamels rejoined the team, stayed down for a few moments after being hit by a line drive off the bat of Brandon Snyder in the 11th inning.

The righthander was eventually able to walk off on his own.

"I feel fine," Rosenberg said in the IronPigs clubhouse afterwards.

It was a scary sight, but Rosenberg said even after being hit, he felt things would be alright.

"I didn't see it much but I knew I was OK," he said. "It was nothing serious."

Rosenberg said he already has undergone baseline testing and will go through more on Tuesday.

He took the loss, allowing two runs and three hits in 1 2/3 innings.
