It doesn't take long for players to allow bad blood to boil over and tempers to flare in a best-of-seven series, even in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Nowhere is that more evident than in the only first round series to feature two teams from Canada. The Ottawa Senators and the Montreal Canadiens took to the ice for Game 3 in an attempt to take a 2-1 series lead with their series tied at one game apiece on Sunday.

Ottawa dominated Game 3 at home and when Senators center Kyle Turris scored seven minutes into the third period for a 4-1 lead, things turned ugly.

The ensuing face-off after the goal featured a good, old-fashioned line brawl between the two teams. Check out the video, courtesy of Greg Wyshynski, editor of the Puck Daddy blog on Yahoo! Sports:

It didn't stop there either. In all 210 of the game's 236 penalty minutes and 11 game misconducts were handed out in the third period alone. The game's referees and linesman had their hands full as seven fights needed to be broken up.

When it was all said and done, the Senators escaped with a 6-1 win for a 2-1 series lead.

More importantly, Game 4 (scheduled for Tuesday night at 7 p.m.) and the rest of this series are must-watch games. Stay tuned.
