Quinn to be honored; Cousins in Flyers' lineup

VANCOUVER _ When the Flyers play in Vancouver on Tuesday night, the late Pat Quinn _ who coached both teams _ will be honored in a pre-game ceremony in which Pat Quinn Way will be unveiled.

The one-block street runs next to Rogers Arena.

Bobby Clarke and Paul Holmgren, each whom played for Quinn, will attend the game.

Goalie Eddie Lack, who has replaced the injured Ryan Miller, will start for the Canucks (39-25-4) and will face Steve Mason.

Lack is 11-9-3 with a 2.43 goals-against average, 2.43 goals-against average and .920 save percentage.

Mason, who had started eight straight games before Ray Emery was in the nets during Sunday's 2-1 shootout loss in Ottawa, will be trying to even his record. Mason is 14-15-10 with a 2.25 GAA and .926 save percentage.

Nick Cousins will make his NHL debut for the Flyers (29-27-15) and will  be on the third line, centering Zac Rinaldo and Ryan White.

Michael Raffle will move to the top line at left wing, and Brayden Schenn will drop down to second-line LW. Second-line LW Matt Read went back to Philadelphia to be with his wife, Erin, for their birth of their first child. Raffl had been centering the third line.

The Flyers dropped a 4-0 decision to visiting Vancouver on Jan. 16 as Miller made 30 saves and notched the shutout.

Emery allowed three goals on 12 shots in that game and was relieved by Rob Zepp.

In franchise history, the Flyers have an impressive 32-11-12 road record in Vancouver. Overall, they are 70-31-13 against the Canucks.

The Flyers' .691 points percentage in Vancouver is their best in any NHL city.

3 on 3 in OTs. NHL genereal managers are recommending that at least part of overtime be played three on three, and the Flyers favor that move.

If adopted, OTs would be more wide open, and the number shootouts would be reduced.

Breakaways. Vancouver's Henrik Sedin has 20 points (three goals, 17 assists) in 14 career games against the Flyers….Claude Giroux has eight points (two goals, six assists) in seven career games vs. the Canucks….Vancouver is one of four Western Conference teams against which the Flyers have 70 or more all-time wins. The others: L.A. (85), St. Louis (84) and Dallas (73).
