Provorov in Flyers lineup for Isles game; Schenn, Simmonds also to play

Ivan Provorov, the impressive rookie defenseman who played a staggering 28 minutes, 48 seconds in Monday's 2-0 split-squad loss in New Jersey, will be back in the lineup when the Flyers host the New York Islanders in a preseason game at 7 Tuesday night.

Provorov will be paired with Andrew MacDonald.

The Flyers will have a veteran and a rookie on all three pairings. Nick Schultz will be alongside rookie Travis Sanheim, and Michael Del Zotto will be with rookie Phil Myers.

The lines:

* Jordan Weal centering Brayden Schenn and Wayne Simmonds.

* Andy Miele centering Michael Raffl and Matt Read.

* Nick Cousins centering Scott Laughton and Dale Weise.

* Boyd Gordon centering Chris VandeVelde and Roman Lyubimov.

Highly touted rookie right winger Travis Konecny will not play, and Steve Mason will be in the nets. Konecny will play Wednesday in Allentown against the Devils.

The games Tuesday and Wednesday will be televised on the Comcast Network.
