Flyers face Capitals in key Sunday matinee

After Sunday's key 12:30 p.m. game in Washington, the Flyers could find themselves in second, third or fourth place.

The Metropolitan Division is THAT tight.

The Flyers are in third place, one point behind the Rangers, and one point ahead of the Capitals.

Sunday starts a home-and-home series between the teams; they also meet Wednesday at the Wells Fargo Center.

The Caps are 2-1 against the Flyers this season.

Both teams won Saturday. Alex Ovechkin _ who has an NHL-leading 43 goals _ scored two power-play tallies as the Caps defeated Boston, 4-2, while Wayne Simmonds had a goal and an assist to lead a 4-2 Flyers' victory over the Rangers.

The Caps have won four straight, and the Flyers have victories in five of their last six games.

The Flyers have 14 games in March, with only four of them on the road.
