The Flyers announced their preseason schedule Wednesday, a seven-game slate that will include three games against the Islanders, two against the Devils and two against the Rangers.

The schedule opens Sept. 21 with split squad games against the Islanders _ one at the PPL Center in Allentown, the other at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

The Flyers, who will be directed by new coach Dave Hakstol, will have three games at the Wells Fargo Center: Sept. 22 (Rangers), Sept. 25 (Islanders), and Sept. 30 (Devils). The other games are at Madison Square Garden vs. the Rangers on Sept. 28, and at the Prudential Center against the Devils on Oct. 2.

This is the first time in 11 years that the Flyers are not playing an exhibition game in London, Ontario.

Timonen returns. Former Flyer Kimmo Timonen will be in Chicago's lineup Wednesday in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals against visiting Tampa Bay, which has a 2-1 series lead.

In 31 games, including 16 in the regular season, Timonen has not registered a point and has been used sparingly.
