Flyers aim for 10th straight home win

The surging Flyers will host their old pal, Danny Briere, and the Montreal Canadiens on Wednesday night.

The Flyers, coming off a 5-1 road trip, are trying to extend their home winning streak to 10 games for the first time since 2003.

Look for goalie Steve Mason to face Montreal's Carey Price, one of Team Canada's Olympic selections.

Interestingly, Mason's numbers are similar to Price's this season _ even though the Canadiens' goaltender has a better defense in front of him.

Price, 26, is 20-11-4 with a 2.22 goals-against average and a 928 save percentage.

Mason, 25,is 17-10-4 with a 2.39 GAA and .922 save percentage.

Montreal has an impressive 12-7-2 road record, while the Flyers are 11-7 at home after starting 2-7 at the Wells Fargo Center.

The Canadiens are fourth in the East, while the Flyers are fifth.
