Flyers' camp includes first-rounders Provorov, Konecny; another goalie signed

The Flyers will get a look at their prospects, including recent first-round draft picks Ivan Provorov and Travis Konecny, when they hold their development camp next week at the Skate Zone in Voorhees and on the Stone Harbor beach.

Thirty-three players will be in camp, which runs from Tuesday to Sunday, and seven of the team's nine 2015 picks will attend.

The camp, which is free and open to the public, will also include defenseman Travis Sanheim, defenseman Sam Morin and center Scott Laughton, meaning the Flyers will have five first-round selections participating.

Shayne Gostisbehere, a fleet defenseman who is coming off knee surgery, defenseman Robert Hagg, and speedy forward Nicolas Aube-Kubel are also among the highly touted players at camp. Five goalies will compete, including Anthony Stolarz (second-rounder in 2012), Felix Sandstrom (third-rounder this year) and Matej Tomek (third-rounder this year), who was recruited to play at North Dakota by new Flyers coach Dave Hakstol.

All of the camp will be held at the Voorhees facility except for Wednesday, when it shifts to Stone Harbor for the Trial on the Isle and numerous activities. There will be a hockey clinic run by Gostisbehere, Morin, Sanheim and Provorov at the Stone Harbor Elementary School at 12:15 p.m., followed by autograph signings at 1:30 p.m.

The Stone Harbor portion of the camp starts at 9 a.m. on the 96th Street Beach, and it ends at that location with a 3:45 p.m. volleyball tournament.

In Voorhees, the camp starts at 8 a.m. (or a bit earlier) on most days. See the Flyers' website for the complete schedule of events.

Camp will conclude with a three-on-three tourney July 12, currently slated to start at 4:30 p.m.

Goalie signed. The Flyers signed journeyman goalie Jason LaBarbera, 35, on Thursday for the Phantoms. In 187 career games, he has compiled a 2.85 goals-against average and .907 save percentage In 11 NHL seasons with six teams.

The British Columbia native has played with the Rangers, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Phoenix, Edmonton, and Anaheim.

The signing means Rob Zepp won't return to Lehigh Valley.
