Five things to know today about the Flyers (33-31-8) as they play at Minnesota (44-22-6) on Thursday night:

1. The Flyers, losers of their last four road contests, are eight points out of a playoff spot with 10 games left. Boston has dropped to the second wild-card spot.

2. Steve Mason, who is expected to make his seventh straight start, is 7-6-1 with a 2.59 goals-against average and .911 save percentage in his career against the Wild.

3. Flyers defenseman Nick Schultz spent parts of 10 seasons with Minnesota but may be replaced by Brandon Manning in Thursday's lineup.

4. Mikael Granlund, Minnesota's leading scorer, has set career highs in goals (25), assists (41), and points (66).

5. Center Claude Giroux has eight points over the last eight games. Giroux is now two points behind right winger Jake Voracek, who leads the Flyers with 55 points.
