Vinny Lecavalier, Mark Streit, Braydon Coburn, and Ray Emery are among the Flyers veterans who are playing Monday against Washington.

Vinny Lecavalier, R.J. Umberger, Jake Voracek, Brayden Schenn, Mark Streit, Braydon Coburn, Andrew MacDonald and Ray Emery are the Flyers veterans who are playing at the Wells Fargo Center Monday night in a split-squad preseason game against Washington.

Lecavalier is expected to center a line with Umberger and Jason Akeson, while Schenn will center Voracek and a still-to-be-determined player.

Prospects will fill out the rest of the lineup.

The other veterans, including goalie Steve Mason, will travel to London (Monday) and Toronto (Tuesday) for games against the Maple Leafs. The top line in those games will have Sean Couturier centering Matt Read and Wayne Simmonds.

The Flyers will host New Jersey on Thursday, meet the Lehigh Valley Phantoms at 5 p.m. in Allentown on Saturday, and play in New Jersey next Sunday. THey finish their exhibition schedule with games at the New York Rangers on Sept. 29, against the Rangers on Sept. 30, and at Washington on Oct. 2.

The season starts Oct. 8 in Boston.
