The Flyers have recalled left winger Tye McGinn from the Phantoms.

Reinforcements are needed because forwards Vinny Lecavalier and Steve Downie won’t be in the lineup for tonight’s game at the Prudential Center against the New Jersey Devils.

Lecavalier and Downie were both hurt in fights during Friday’s 7-0 loss to the visiting Washington Capitals.

Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren said Lecavalier absorbed facial injuries and Downie suffered a concusion.

McGinn appeared in four games this season with the Flyers and scored three goals. The Flyers (3-9) have scored just 20 goals.

McGinn had three goals in six games for the Phantoms including two in Friday’s 3-1 win over the Binghamton Senators.
