Wendell Smallwood, JaCorey Shepherd out vs. Steelers

PITTSBURGH – Eagles running back Wendell Smallwood and cornerback JaCorey Shepherd will miss their second consecutive preseason game on Thursday against the Pittsburgh Steelers even though they practiced this week.

Smallwood has a quad injury and Shepherd has a hamstring injury. Coach Doug Pederson didn't announce them as players who would miss the game.

The other players who won't be uniform are quarterback Carson Wentz (ribs), wide receiver Jordan Matthews (knee), linebacker Mychal Kendricks (hamstring), cornerback Jalen Mills (hamstring), defensive lineman Mike Martin (knee), and wide receiver Hunter Sharp (hamstring). They were announced out during the week.

Wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham is in uniform. Green-Beckham will wear No. 18.
