Vinny Curry is one of the Eagles' six inactives for Monday's game against the Washington Redskins.
Curry, an Eagles defensive end, joins quarterback Matt Barkley, cornerback Shaun Prater, offensive lineman Matt Tobin, offensive lineman Dennis Kelly, and tight end Emil Igwenagu as players who will not dress.
The Eagles only needed six because they released Brandon Hughes on Saturday and have only 52 players on their active roster.
Curry is a surprise because of his pass-rush ability. But he's not among the Eagles' top six linemen, and they went with six.
Kelly has a back injury and was already declared out. Tobin not dressing means the Eagles have two backup linemen: Allen Barbre and Julian Vandervelde. Barbre can play both tackle and guard,
Inactivating Prater, who was signed last week, leaves the Eagles with four cornerbacks. Jordan Poyer is one of them. But there are five safeties active, and Kurt Coleman can play cornerback.
There are three tight ends active with Igwenagu not dressed.
