Sam Bradford says he never saw reported contract offer, "must have gotten lost in the mail"

Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford denied a 94.1-WIP report that he turned down a four-year contract extension during the offseason.

"That offer must have gotten lost in the mail," Bradford said Wednesday. "I never saw that one."

The report said that Bradford was offered a four-year deal worth about $18 million per year, and Bradford turned it down at the advice of his agent.

Bradford is in the final year of his contract. Chip Kelly said in April that the Eagles were interested in signing Bradford to a contract extension during the offseason. Bradford has not discussed his contract status when asked multiple times during the summer. His comment on Wednesday was the first time he discussed a potential contract extension. He said he has not thought about his future beyond this season.

"Those thoughts are a long way down the road," Bradford said.
