Report: Eagles to trade McCoy

The Eagles are going to trade running back LeSean McCoy to the Bills next week, according to a report by ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Schefter reported that the Bills have notified linebacker Kiko Alonso that he is going to be traded to the Eagles. Alonso missed the 2014 season with an ACL injury that he suffered in the offseason.

The Associated Press confirmed the report.

Alonso, 24, played for Chip Kelly's Oregon Ducks from 2008-12. He was a second-round pick of the Bills in the 2013 draft, the 46th overall selection. He is 6-3, 238 pounds.

In 2013, Alonso had 159 tackles, two sacks and four interceptions.

McCoy played six seasons with the Eagles. He rushed for 1,319 yards and five touchdowns in 2014.

This is the latest in a day of blockbuster Eagles news. First, the Eagles announced the release of defensive back Cary Willliams. Then, ESPN reported that defensive end Trent Cole would be released.
