Nick Foles is headed to Canton... sort of

The Pro Football Hall Fame is making room for Nick Foles, after his 406 yard, 7 TD performance last Sunday in Oakland. OK, maybe not, but Foles' game-worn grass-stained jersey, cleats, and the ball that he threw for his 7th TD pass are all headed to Canton.

"It's a great honor," said Foles. "Last year [the rookie draft picks] were fortunate enough to go to the Hall of Fame, so it was really neat to see all the memorabilia there, all the great players. It's a great honor just to [represent] the Eagles there. I know there's already a ton of Eagles stuff, but for our team, for that game, it's pretty special."

Foles has a ways to go before he joins Chuck Bednarik, Tommy McDonald, Reggie White, and other Eagles greats in the Hall of Fame. For now, Foles will get first team reps this week, but Chip Kelly has not named him the starter for the rest of the season.

The Eagles will take on the Packers next Sunday, who employ a good candidate for Canton at QB in Aaron Rodgers. It is looking unlikely that Rodgers will play, after injuring his shoulder Monday night against the Bears. His replacement against the Bears was Seneca Wallace. Rodgers' absense would make a seemingly very difficult game far more winnable for the 4-5 Eagles.

If the Eagles can pull out another win on Sunday, they will be 5-1 on the road, and Folesmania will keep rolling right along.
