Kendricks appears OK after exiting with calf injury

Eagles linebacker Mychal Kendricks told reporters after Monday's win that he experienced only spasms in his calf.

INDIANAPOLIS – Mychal Kendricks put a scare into Eagles fans everywhere when he exited Monday night's 30-27 win with a calf injury, but the starting inside linebacker told reporters after the game that he experienced only spasms and intimated it was nothing serious.

Kendricks left the game after the third-to-last play of the third quarter, when Colts quarterback Andrew Luck connected with T.Y. Hilton for an 11-yard gain. The third-year linebacker was soon after ruled out for the rest of the night.

Casey Matthews and Emmanuel Acho played in Kendricks' stead. Before the injury, Kendricks recorded seven tackles, one for loss, as well as a pass deflection.

Cornerback Nolan Carroll was the only other Eagles player to leave with an injury but X-rays on his elbow were negative and he returned to the game.
