The Eagles fell to the Patriots, 42-35, at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass.

Nick Foles completed eight of 10 pass attempts for 81 yards and a touchdown. Backup Mark Sanchez completed 11 of his 12 attempts for 117 yards, two touchdowns and an interception.

Reserve running back Henry Josey carried the ball eight times for 56 yards. Rookie wide receiver Jordan Matthews caught nine passes for 104 yards.
