LeSean McCoy and Jason Peters selected to Pro Bowl, several Eagles snubbed

The NFL released the 2014 Pro Bowl rosters, and two Eagles will be making the trip to Hawaii (assuming they don't skip it, as many players now do). The two players selected were RB LeSean McCoy and OT Jason Peters.

Big congratulations to the two #Eagles Pro Bowlers: RB LeSean McCoy (@CutonDime25) and LT Jason Peters.

However, several deserving Eagles got snubbed.

Nick Foles leads the NFL in passer rating, YPA, and TD:INT ratio. The Eagles are 7-2 with him as a starter, 2-4 without him. He has more TD passes than Tom Brady, 8 fewer INTs, and a QB rating difference of 118.8 to 88.0. Tom Brady will make his 9th Pro Bowl appearance, while Nick Foles will not. That is absolutely laughable. (Note - The NFL is picking players regardless of conference now).

Meanwhile, DeSean Jackson is probably having his best year as a pro. He's 8th in the NFL in receiving yards, tied for 9th among WRs in TDs, 4th in yards per catch among WRs with at least 60 catches, and 2nd in receptions of 20+ yards. DeSean will be not be headed to Hawaii. Dez Bryant has 170 fewer receiving yards, despite being targeted 25 more times, and he will.

No Evan Mathis. No Jason Kelce. No Donnie Jones. No DeMeco Ryans.

Take it out on Dallas.

UPDATE: Nick Foles has been named a first alternate for the 2014 Pro Bowl. Wide receiver DeSean Jackson and offensive lineman Evan Mathis are second alternates.
