Jeremy Maclin in the lineup vs. Bears; Bennie Logan, Riley Cooper sidelined

CHICAGO -- Jeremy Maclin is in the lineup for the first time since Dec. 30, 2012. Maclin, who missed time this week, is not among the seven players who will not play in the preseason opener against the Bears.

Wide receiver Riley Cooper (foot/ankle) and defensive lineman Bennie Logan (hamstring) are the two starters who will miss the game. The other players who are absent are cornerback Nolan Carroll (hamstring/groin), linebacker Jake Knott (hamstring), wide receiver Jeff Maehl (foot), running back Chris Polk (hamstring), and center Julian Vandervelde.

Look for Damion Square to start at nose tackle in Logan's place, with seventh-round pick Beau Allen potentially seeing time with the first-team defense. Arrelious Benn will start at outside receiver in Cooper's place, according to the team. Brad Smith is expected to start in the slot.

Backup center David Molk will likely get a lot of work at center with Vandervelde out. Matthew Tucker will move up the depth chart at running back. Josh Huff could see more time at kick returner.
