Greg Hardy involved in verbal altercation with Cowboys teammate

It seems that the Cowboys' much-criticized signing of defensive end Greg Hardy is continuing to not pay off.

Hardy, a former Carolina Panther who Dallas signed to a one-year, $11 million deal this offseason, was arrested in May 2014 for a domestic violence incident with a former girlfriend and charged with assault on a female and communicating threats. According to his girlfriend, Nicole Holder, Hardy picked her up "over his head and threw her onto a couch covered in assault rifles." The case was eventually dismissed and Holder settled out of court.

The NFL looked into the matter and determined that, "Hardy used physical force against his ex-girlfriend, Nicole Holder, in at least four instances," reports the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. Therefore, the league suspended Hardy 10 games in response to their findings, a decision over which the NFLPA might sue.

This leaves Dallas with some questions entering the draft, as they may have to replace Hardy with someone, whether through the draft or another signing. Or, the Cowboys could just fight the suspension tooth and nail - "A strong argument can be made that that's the likely outcome," according to the Dallas Morning News.

The Cowboys have already been blasted by their own mayor and local analysts over Hardy's signing, but the situation has surfaced again as Hardy appears to not be getting along with his new teammates.
