First-round pick Marcus Smith inactive; RB Chris Polk, OL Wade Smith both active

INDIANAPOLIS --  First-round pick Marcus Smith is inactive for Monday's game against the Indianapolis Colts. The Eagles have insisted on patience with the outside linebacker, but the fact that he's a healthy scratch shows where he is in his development.

Running back Chris Polk is active after missing all of the preseason and the season opener with a hamstring injury.

The Eagles' other inactives are quarterback Matt Barkley, wide receiver Josh Huff, defensive back Jaylen Watkins, offensive lineman Matt Tobin, offensive lineman Kevin Graf, and defensive end Taylor Hart.

Tobin and Huff were both declared out. Tobin has an ankle injury, while Huff has a shoulder injury.

Barkley, Watkins and Hart were all inactive last week. Graf was promoted from the practice squad this week.

Offensive lineman Wade Smith is active for his Eagles debut. Emmanuel Acho is active to give the Eagles their fourth inside linebacker.

The only rookies who are active are Jordan Matthews and Beau Allen.
