Eagles sign CB Patrick Robinson to one-year deal

The Eagles signed cornerback Patrick Robinson to a one-year deal on Tuesday.

Robinson, 29, played last season with the Indianapolis Colts. A 2010 first-round pick by the New Orleans Saints, he has 49 career starts with three teams during seven NFL seasons.

Robinson, who is 5-11 and 191 pounds, has 10 career interceptions.

Eagles executive Howie Roseman hinted that the team would be in the market for value signings before the draft. Robinson is a "Band-Aid" signing, but he gives the Eagles roster insurance at a position with holes.

Robinson joins Jalen Mills, Ron Brooks, Dwayne Gratz, and C.J. Smith as the top cornerbacks on the Eagles roster. The depth chart will look considerably different after the draft, though, when the Eagles are expected to add to the position from a deep draft class.
