Eagles promote safety Keelan Johnson from practice squad, release Emmanuel Acho

The Eagles signed safety Keelan Johnson off their practice squad and released linebacker Emmanuel Acho. The move comes as the Eagles are dealing with injuries in the secondary, especially at safety, where Colt Anderson (knee) and Kurt Coleman (hamstring) both missed practice.

The Eagles released Emmanuel Acho to make room for Johnson.

Johnson was undrafted out of Arizona State. He spent the preseason with the Miami Dolphins. He's been on the practice squad throughout the season. Johnson is 5-foot-11 and 212 pounds.
