Eagles place Kenjon Barner on injured reserve to make room for Lane Johnson

Kenjon Barner's season is finished.

The Eagles placed the running back on injured reserve Tuesday to make room for right tackle Lane Johnson, who was activated from the reserved/suspended list.

Barner suffered a hamstring injury in Sunday's loss to the Baltimore Ravens and was already ruled out for Thursday's game against the New York Giants. Barner finished his third NFL season with 27 carries for 129 yards and two touchdowns, along with five catches for 42 yards. Barner's 4.8 yards per carry were the highest mark of his career. He also averaged 30.8 yards on nine kickoff returns.

Barner, 27, will be a restricted free agent at the end of the season.
