Eagles open preseason at home vs. Tampa Bay; also visit Pittsburgh, Indianapolis

Doug Pederson's first time as head coach on the Eagles sideline will come at Lincoln Financial Field.

The Eagles' preseason schedule, announced in part Thursday, begins when they host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers between Aug. 11 and 15. The exact date will be announced in the coming weeks. The Bucs beat the Eagles in Philadelphia when the teams met last November.

The second and third games require the Eagles to travel. They will visit the Pittsburgh Steelers for Week 2, between Aug. 18 and 22.

The Eagles also play the Steelers during the regular season, so the intrastate preseason game might have an even more vanilla game plan than usual. The Pennsylvania teams last played in the preseason in 2014.

In the third preseason game, when the starters usually play the most, the Eagles will travel to take on the Indianapolis Colts between Aug. 25 and 28. The Eagles won, 36-10, when the teams met last August.

The preseason finale will be Sept. 1 against the New York Jets at the Linc. The Eagles usually conclude the preseason with a Thursday night game against the Jets.

The Eagles will not be on national TV in the preseason.
