Smolenski: Eagles have talked about return to kelly green uniforms

A fake FOX 29 Twitter account - which can, as we've discussed on these pages, be detected in the several seconds it takes to click the handle and see that it has only 30 followers - fooled hundreds of people today into thinking the Eagles would return to their kelly green uniforms in 2016.

While a master of deception pours himself yet another drink this morning, there was a shred of truth to the lie (which is what made it so brilliantly believable).

Eagles team president Don Smolenski went on WIP this morning, and during his interview with Angelo Cataldi, a sticking point of contemporary Eagles conversations once again surfaced. Smolenski cited NFL rules for the lack of kelly green in the Eagles' wardrobe in recent years.

From CBS Philly:

"We have talked about it and there are some rules with the NFL that provides some restrictions that we're trying to work through, but that's going to take some time."

"It's there, and it's something that we do talk about, but until some things change at the NFL level it's going to provide restrictions for us. It is being talked about it, yes."

So it seems like it's on the stuffy old NFL now to allow the Eagles this change.
